RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN THE 1996-
1997 COORDINATED PREVENTION GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE
STATE OF WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Ecology has
established a grant program entitled "Coordinated Prevention
Grant" ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has applied for matching funds
for the 1996-1997 program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has created programs for
Household Hazardous Waste Education, Home Composting Education,
Residential Recycling Education and Green Garden Model City; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Ecology has
approved these programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to sign the 1996-1997 Coordinated Prevention Grant
Agreement Between the Washington State Department of Ecology and
the City of Renton to provide grant funding to implement programs

Education, Residential Recycling Education and Green Garden Model
City.
