RESOLUTION NO. 3193
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR
CITY OPTIONAL PROGRAM FUNDING FOR 1996 BUSINESS
RECYCLING AND SPECIAL RECYCLING EVENTS.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is a participant in the
Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (Plan) for King County;
and
WHEREAS, the Plan allows for the City to receive county
funding assistance for business recycling and special recycling
events through City Optional Programs; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has held numerous successful
special recycling events since 1993 ; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has applied for such county
funding assistance; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been proposed to document such
funding assistance;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign an Interlocal Agreement between King County and the City
of Renton for county funding assistance for City implementation of
City Optional Programs for business recycling and special
recycling events in accordance with the Comprehensive Waste
Management Plan for King County.
