18th Street,Renton,King County,Washington.was duly filed with
the City Clerk on or about October 16,1981,and said petition
having been signed by the owners representinf;more than two-thirds
~(2/3)of the property abutting upon such street soueht to be
vacated;and
WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No.2428 passed and
approved on November 2,1981,and after due investigation,did
fix and determine the 7th day of December,1981 at the hour of
8:00 P.M.in the City Council Chambers of the City of Renton
to be the time and place for a public hearing thereon,and the City
clerk having given due notice of such hearing in the manner provided
by law,and all persons having been heard appearing in favor or
in opposition thereto;and the City Council having considered all
information and arguments presented to it,
NOW,THERLFOKE,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTO~!,DO ORDAI1I AS FOLLOIiS,
SECTION I:The fol~owlng described portion of street,to-wit:
All that portion of 12th Place South (now known as S.E.18th St.)
~s shown on the face of the plat of Rolling Hills Village,recorded
~n V?lume 76 o~plats,pages 39 and 40,records of King County,
Wash~ngton;Ly~ng westerly of the southerly continuation of the
westerly right-of-way line of Rolling Hills Place South (now known
as Jones Drive S.E.)as shown on the face of said plat.
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED.SUBJECT to an easement over,
across,·under and on a.ll of the aforedescribed property in favor
of the City for utility and related purposes.
SECTION II:The City C~:)Uncil hereby elects to charge a fee
of $.75 per square.foot to Petitioner-Owners,paid on /\ugust 20,19
receipt of which is acknowledged by the City of Renton.

SECTION III:This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage,approval and five days after its publication.
