AMENDING A PORTION OF SECTION 6-2004 OF TITLE
VI (POLICE REGULATIONS)OF ORDINM~CE NO.1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDIN1\NCES OF THE CITY
OF RENTON"RELATIl~G TO GAMBLING TAX -AMUSEMENT

ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:Existing sub-section (A)of Section 6-2004
of Title VI (Police Regulations)of Ordinance No.1628 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton"is hereby amended
as follows:
Section 6-2004 (A),as amended:To conduct or operate
any bingo games and raffles a tax rate of ten percent (10%)of the
g40SS revenue received therefrom,less the actual net amount paid
by such person,association or organization for or as prizes;
SECTION II:Section 6-2004 of Title VI (Police Regulations
of Ordinance No.1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton"is hereby amended by adding two additiona sub-sections
as follows:
Section 6-2004 (D)To conduct and operate amusement
g3mes a tax of two (2%)percent of the gross revenue received therefrOl
less the actual net amount paid for as prizes.
Section 6-2004 (E)No tax shall be imposed on bingo,
raffles or amusement games when such activities or any combination
thereof are conducted by any bona fide charitable or non-profit
organization as defined in RCW 9.46.020(3)which organization has
no paid operating or management personnel and has gross income from
bingo,raffles or amusement games or any combination thereof not
exceeding $5,000 per year plus the amount paid for as prizes.
SECTION III:This Ordinance shall be effective upon
its passa8~,approval and five days after publication.
