ORDINANCE NO. 3432
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON
WHEREAS under the provisions of RCW 35A.14.300, the legislative
body, by majority vote, elected to annex certain territory outside its
City Limits as hereinbelow more particularly described, for municipal
purposes; and
WHEREAS the City Council fixed February 11, 1980, as per
its Resolution No.2314, as a time and place for a public hearing in
the City Council Chambers, City Hall, Renton, Washington, and
WHEREAS pursuant to said Notice, a public hearing has
been held at the time and place specified in the aforesaid notice and
the Council having duly considered all matters in said Resolution and
further determined that all legal requirements and procedures of the
law applicable have been duly complied with, and
WHEREAS a proper "Notice of Intention" having been filed with
the King County Boundary Review Board as required by law, and said
Boundary Review Board having duly waived its jurisdiction thereover, as
per its letter dated May 2, 1980,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The aforesaid findings, recitals and determinations
are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects; all requirements
of the law in regard to the annexation as per RCW 35A.14.300 have been
fully complied with.
It is further determined that, the below described property
is being annexed into the City of Renton for municipal purposes and
such annexation to be effective on and after the approval, passage and
publication of this Ordinance; and on and after said date said property
shall be and constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be
subject to all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force
and effect; said property being described as follows:
The North 100 feet of the West 230 feet of the South
one-half of the South one-half of the Northwest one-
quarter of the Southeast one-quarter of Section 29,
Township 23 North, Range 5 E., W.M. LESS the west 30
feet for State Highway No. 5C (Benson Road) King
County, Washington
(Said property located east side of 108th Avenue S.E.
between S.E. 170th St. and S.E. 173rd St.)
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
King County Council, State of Washington, and as otherwise provided by
law.
SECTION III: The above described annexed property contiguous
part of Precinct No. 53 of said City.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 19th day of May, 1980.
APPROVED BY THE MAYOR this 19th day of May, 1980.
