RESOLUTION NO. 3209
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO A
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON STATE
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A
PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE FACILITY LOCATED ALONG LAKE
WASHINGTON BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is constructing a
pedestrian/bicycle facility along Lake Washington Boulevard from
Gene Coulon Park South Access to N. 44th Street; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation is
willing to assist in the funding for such construction; and
WHEREAS, the current participation by the Washington State
Department of Transportation is $744, 256 . 00 of the costs; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to supplement the original
agreement with $101, 816 . 00; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the funding agreement
between the Washington State Department of Transportation and the
City of Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .

SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an interlocal agreement and sign all required
documents with the Washington State Department of Transportation
for funding of the cost for construction of a pedestrian/bicycle
facility located along Lake Washington Boulevard from Gene Coulon
Park South Access to N. 44th Street .
