AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 8-401 OF TITLE VIII [HEALTH
AND SA,ITATTON]OF ORDINANCE NO.1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON"
RELATING TO THE SLAUGHTERING OF ANIMALS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON,WASHINGTOI AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:Existing Section 8-401 of Title VIII [Health
and Sanitation]of Ordinance No.1628 entitled IICode of General
Ordinance of the City of Renton"is hereby repealed;in lieu thereof
the following section is hereby adopted to read:
SECTION 8-401,Title VIII:The slaughtering of all
meat foOd animals and the inspection thereof shall be governed by
the provisions of RCW 16.49 and RCW 16.50 and further subject to the
rules and regulations of the State Director of Agriculture and the
U.S.Secretary of Agriculture.
It shall be unlawful for any slaughter house or meat
food product manufacturing plant to operate or process any product
unless such establishment has a validly issued license for said
purpose.
SECTION II:This Ordina~ce shall be in full force and effec~
from and after its passage,approval and legal pUblica~ion.
SECTION III:Any and all Ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealled.
