RESOLUTION NO. 3231
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CEDAR AVENUE
SOUTH/SOUTH 4TH STREET BETWEEN MILL AVENUE SOUTH AND MAIN
AVENUE SOUTH FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE RETAINING
WALL.
WHEREAS, the construction of a retaining wall along Cedar
Avenue South/South 4th Street, as a portion of the I-405 S-Curve
Project, will eliminate sliding of the embankment; and
WHEREAS, this construction activity will require a street
closure for a portion of Cedar Avenue South/South 4th Street
between Mill Avenue South and Main Avenue South for a period of
approximately sixty days; and
WHEREAS, this construction work has been scheduled between
October and December of 1996; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3 the City Council
is to authorize such closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The City Council does hereby authorize the
closure of Cedar Avenue South/South 4th Street between Mill Avenue

South and Main Avenue South for a period of approximately sixty
(60) days during the period between October and December of 1996 or
some equivalent time frame for the construction of a retaining
wall .
