AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON AN- iE
NEX1 NG TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REED T ON
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the '1945 Sqs si,
Laws of the State of Washington, a petition in wviting, as amended re-
questing that certain property contiguous to the city limits of the +City, i
of Renton, hereinafter raore particularly described, be annexed to the.
City of Renton, was presented and filed with the City Council on the €3th
day of December, 1953, bearing the signatures of the owners of more thap
seventy-five (75) per cent in value according to the assessed valuation
for general taxation of the property for which annexation is pett�.oned '
herein, to -wit 78-5..Per cent, which petition. sets- forth. the legal
description of the property according to government legal sub -division
or plats, and is accompanied by plat or drawing outlining the boundaries
of the territory ;petitioned to be annexed; and the Planning °Cormuission
of the City of Renton having considered and recommended the annexing of
said property to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton by resolute on f
adopted at its regular meeting on February 9, 195., fixed Tuesday,
March 9, 1954, at 6 o'clock p.m. at the Cx ty Council Chambers 14 �kaa
City Hall in the :City of Renton, Washington, as the time and place for

public hearing upon said petition, and a notice of said hearing specifyig

the time and place thereof, inviting all interested persons to:appear..

thereat and voice approval or disapproval of or objections to the
proposed annexation, has been duly published as provided by law, and ,true
co ies of said notice have been duly posted in three

within the territory proposed for annexation more than one week prior, to
said date of hearing; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such resolution and notice a public hearing
on said petition has been held by the City Council of Renton at the tic
and place specified in aforesaid notice, to -wit, March 9, 195.1, at 8 91
cloth p.m. and objections, written andoral, to the proposed annexation
having been filed and made at such hearing and the City Council ;or ; the
City of Renton having duly considered said petition and being advisedr�

BE 3T ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF RENTON AS
POLLOWS:

Section 1: Pursuant to provisions of Chapter 126 of the I94�5
Session Laws of the State of Washington, it is determined that the above E'

mentioned petition for annexation to the City.of Renton of the property
and territory hereinbelow described be and it is hereby approved a4d
granted, and the following described property being contiguous to the
city limits of the City of Renton situated in ming County, State of I
Washington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton
effective on and after the 2.5th day of March, 1954, and on and aftor
that date said territory shall constitute a part of the City of Renton{ and H1,

shall pe subject to all the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton,]

then thereafter enforced; said property being descriped as follows;
The west half (W2) of the northeast uarter (NE -1)' of
Section ,9, Township 23 North, Range E.W.M., and Stewart t s .
Highland Acre Tracts to the City of Renton; a1.1 si.tuste in
King County, State of Washington,
Section 2: The above described annexed property contiguous 'to; f ��
