RESOLUTION NO. 3103
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON HONORING
CHARLES J. DELAURENTI.
WHEREAS, Charles J. Delaurenti has announced his decision to
retire from the Valley Medical Center Board of Hospital
Commissioners after faithfully serving for eleven years; and
WHEREAS, he served constituents of the City of Renton as a
member of the Renton City Council for a total of thirty years
holding the position of Council President three times; and
WHEREAS, he was elected Mayon for the City of Renton from 1976
through 1980; and
WHEREAS, he continued to display his love of the Renton
community by serving on the Renton Park Board. Commission from 1982
until 1992; and
WHEREAS, he has a widely recognized and well deserved
reputation for civic mindedness and caring spirit that will endure
for years to come; and
WHEREAS, his tenure has greatly benefited the citizenry of the
City of Renton and surrounding communities, and the loss of his
expertise will create a void;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct.
SECTION II. The City of Renton hereby commends Charles J.
Delaurenti for his long and meritorious service as Mayor,

Councilman and Commissioner, expresses its sense of loss because of
his retirement, and thanks him for his many years of service to the
community.
