RESOLUTION NO. 3108
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH BURLINGTON NORTHERN RAILROAD COMPANY AND
THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE
NORTH 8TH STREET RAILROAD CROSSING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has received a Federal Aid Grant
under the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act to
upgrade North 8th Street railroad grade crossing located at
railroad mile post 3 .49; and
WHEREAS, the implementation of said projects requires the
execution of certain documents relating thereto concerning the
allocation .and �_expee.nditure .of funding through the Federal Highway
Administration Rai:l-road Crossing ,Safety Program;

=WASH:INGTON., DO.."RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION. II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with
Burlington Northern Railroad Company and the Washington State
Department of Transportation for the design, construction, and
maintenance for the grant funding of the current and subsequent
stages of the railroad signal on North 8th Street at railroad mile
post 3 .49 .
SECTION III . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and deliver unto appropriate governmental

agencies any and all documents relating to the allocation and
expenditure of Federal-Aid Funding for the North 8th Street
Railroad Crossing Project.
