RESOLUTION NO. 3141
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
. STATE - DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS
TOWARDS. THE COMPLETION OF THE I-405 MULTI-MODAL CORRIDOR
STUDY
WHEREAS, the City of Renton acknowledges the importance of the
I-405 Corridor in the movement of regional traffic; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to ensure that future regional
decisions regarding improvements to the I-405 Corridor do not
adversely affect the City of Renton residents; and
WHEREAS, the state is requesting that the City of Renton
contribute $5, 350 . 00 toward the completion of the I-405 Multi-Modal
Corridor Study; and
WHEREAS, a total of $160, 000 . 00 of local match funds are being
secured from local agencies affected by regional traffic on I-405 ;
and
WHEREAS, $5, 350 . 00 is the City' s fair share contribution; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to enter into an agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) ;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct
in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to

enter into an interlocal cooperative agreement with WSDOT for the

City to contribute funds for the completion of the I-405 Multi-
Modal Corridor Study.
