RESOLUTION NO. 3149
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN ADDENDUM
TO THE SECOND AMENDED INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
FOR THE EAST KING COUNTY REGIONAL WATER ASSOCIATION
DEALING WITH OWNERSHIP IN THE ASSETS OF THE REGIONAL
WATER AUTHORITY INCLUDING ANY INTEREST IN THE SNOQUALMIE
AQUIFER.
WHEREAS, the East King County Regional Water Association has
been previously formed by interlocal cooperative agreement
involving a number of municipalities including the City of Renton;
and
WHEREAS, the Regional Water Authority has invested in the
- development of the aquifer known as the Snoqualmie Aquifer; and
._WHEREAS, that . aquifer shows, promise of becoming a significant
asset; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the interlocal agreement to
set forth the ownership interests of the various members of the
Regional Water Authority in the assets of that Authority, including
the Snoqualmie Aquifer, and set forth a way of selling such assets;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign Amendment No. l to the Second Amended Interlocal
gCooperative
Agreement for the East King County Regional Water Association.
