RESOLUTION NO. 3028
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE MUNICIPALITY OF
METROPOLITAN SEATTLE (METRO) TO ESTABLISH THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS TO ACCEPT A GRANT FOR HIGH CAPACITY
TRANSPORTATION PLANNING.
WHEREAS, METRO has received certain funds from the state of
Washington which included funds for interjurisdictional
coordination and planning for high capacity transportation; and
WHEREAS, METRO intends to provide some of those funds to the
City of Renton; and
Renton intends to conduct a high capacity

transportation planning study, the total estimated cost of which is
$62,500 . 00; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has available to. it a 20% match
for the grant, the City' s match being $12 , 500 . 00; and
WHEREAS, METRO intends to provide a pass-through grant to the
City of Renton for the remaining $50, 000 . 00 for the City of Renton
to do a high capacity transportation planning study; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions
under which the grant is given to the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The .Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement between the City of
