RESOLUTION NO. 3054
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CONCERNING PRELIMINARY
ENGINEERING WORK FOR UTILITY RELOCATION ON SR 405, SOUTH
RENTON TO SUNSET BOULEVARD-HOV.
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation is
doing certain work on SR 405; and
WHEREAS, that work will make it necessary to remove and/or
relocate or reconstruct certain utility facilities; and
WHEREAS, WSDOT has certain funds available to it to pay 90 . 66%
of the estimated cost for such work; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been -prepared to establish payment for
.preliminary engineering work for- such utility .removal, relocation or
-reconstruction;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Washington
State Department of Transportation regarding payment for preliminary
engineering for utility removal, relocation or reconstruction
necessitated by state work on SR 405 .
