RESOLUTION NO. 3069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ACCEPTING
A GRANT FOR A LUNCH PROGRAM FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT OF
PUBLIC INSTRUCTION.
WHEREAS, the City has identified a need to serve low-income
young people with nutritious lunches during the summer; and
WHEREAS, the U. S. Department of Agriculture has funds
available to provide nutritionally balanced lunches and snacks to
specific schools/neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the City is totally reimbursed for this project;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The City Council accepts the grant for a lunch
program from the U. S. Department of Agriculture and hereby amends
the 1994 budget to appropriate the grant revenues and 1994
expenditures.
