RESOLUTION NO. 3088
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF LOGAN AVENUE SOUTH
FOR UTILITY REPLACEMENT AND ROAD RESTORATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton Planning/Building/Public Works
Department has previously determined that the existing concrete
paneled street is beyond repair and must be rebuilt; and
WHEREAS, the City, as the party responsible for the condition
of the existing right-of-way, has agreed to restore the street at
its expense; and
WHEREAS, the removal and replacement of the existing
utilities, backfill and pavement will necessitate the temporary
closure of _Logan Avenue South between its intersection with South
Tobin .Street .and its intersection with South 2nd Street; and
WHEREAS, that work has been scheduled between August 20, 1994
and November 20, 1994 to minimize interference with traffic; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3 the City Council
is to authorize such closures by means of a Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the
closure of Loan Avenue South between its intersection with South
Tobin Street and its intersection with South 2nd Street for a
period of approximately three (3) months .
