CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 3096
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF METROPOLITAN
SERVICES OF KING COUNTY (METRO) FOR FUNDING REIMBURSEMENT
FOR MITIGATION FEE CREDITS FOR BOEING.
WHEREAS, The Boeing Company agreed, in 1990, to certain
transportation mitigation measures; and
WHEREAS, METRO agreed to reimburse the City for up to
$200, 000 . 00 in mitigation fee credits to encourage Boeing to take
steps to have its employees use Metro vanpools and transit service;
and
WHEREAS, METRO is prepared to pay those funds to the City of
Renton pursuant to a written agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City' s best interests to enter into such
agreement.;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an agreement with the Department of Metropolitan
Services of King County (METRO) to reimburse the City for up to
$200, 000 . 00 in mitigation fee credits which Boeing has been able to
accrue for use by its employees of METRO vanpools and transit
service.
