RESOLUTION NO. 2947
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY TO MAKE
AVAILABLE TO THE CITY OF RENTON COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS
FUELING SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton desires to purchase compressed
natural gas fuel to promote clean air; and
WHEREAS, the county has a facility to provide compressed
natural gas, such facility being located within the City of Renton;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the public ' s interest for the City of Renton
and -King.:County .to cooperate to provide a cost effective compressed
-..natural gas- fueling facility; and
. -,WHEREAS.,. the City of. Renton and. King County have negotiated an
.:interlocal-,agreement to provide the compressed natural gas fueling
services .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with King County
for the purpose of providing compressed natural gas fueling
services to the City of Renton. -
