RESOLUTION NO. 2952
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE CEDAR RIVER BASIN PLAN.
WHEREAS, King County and the City of Renton share jurisdiction
over the Cedar River Basin; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to protect the water resources and
habitat quality of Lake Washington and the Cedar River Basin; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to resolve existing drainage,
flooding, sedimentation and water quality problems in the Basin;
and
WHEREAS, the budget for such a plan is approximately
$2, 000, 000 .00 and the City' s share of that cost would be
approximately $138, 654 . 00; and
WHEREAS, .those efforts .will be furthered by the preparation of
a Cedar River Basin Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with King County
to develop a Cedar River Basin Plan.
