RESOLUTION NO. 2954
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE RECEIPT AND
USE OF GRANT MONIES FOR A PARKING POLICY REVIEW AND
ADMINISTRATION OF THE COMMUTER TRIP REDUCTION ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is mandated by state law to adopt
a commuter trip reduction ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the City has or is about to adopt such an ordinance;
and
WHEREAS, part of preparing the policy for local employers and
the City' s plan as an employer requires the review of parking
policies; and
WHEREAS, the state is prepared to give the City of Renton a
grant to undertake parking policy review and administration of the
commuter trip reduction ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt an agreement to control the
use of the grant funds .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation for grant funding for
parking policy review and administration of the commuter trip
reduction ordinance.
