RESOLUTION NO. 2956
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELATING TO THE
RESURFACING AND PRESERVATION PROJECT FOR AIRPORT WAY TO
RAINIER AVENUE SOUTH BETWEEN LOGAN AVENUE SOUTH AND SOUTH
2ND STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton plans to undertake a resurfacing
and preservation project for Airport Way between Logan Avenue South
and South 2nd Street which will involve the planing of asphalt
concrete, asphalt concrete paving, insulation of channelization,
utilities adjustments and traffic; and
.WHEREAS, there are federal funds available to assist the. City
..in'- this- project; and
-V. HEREAS, those. funds. :are.. ,:-managed., by the Washington State
Dep.artment.:i-oif-- T.ransportati:,on,; and
WHEREAS, the use of- those federal funds by the City of Renton
requires an agreement between the City and the Washington State
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, this project would be in the best interests of the
citizens of the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the state of Washington intends to pay $129, 250 . 00 of
the total project cost of $149,422 . 00 .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .

SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation for the resurfacing
and preservation project for Airport Way between Logan Avenue South
and South 2nd Street.
