RESOLUTION NO. 2957
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELATING TO ROADWAY
RECONSTRUCTION OF TALBOT ROAD SOUTH.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton plans to undertake certain
construction on Talbot Road South from South 45th to the south City
limits including roadway reconstruction, channelization, guard rail
and traffic control; and
li WHEREAS, there are federal funds available to assist the City
in this project; and
.WHEREAS, those. funds : are managed by the Washington .State
Department -:of .`Transportat, on:;1-:.and",.
WHEREAS, �t.he- .u.se, of�.:.t:hos:e._:f:ederal.:.f.unds by.-.the, City.. of Renton
requires .:an :-:agre.eme-nt~-"between-:-the City :and ...the Washington . State
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, this project would be in the best interests of the
citizens of the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the state of Washington intends to pay $325, 808. 00 of
the total project cost of $407,260 . 00 .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the

reconstruction of Talbot Road South.
