RESOLUTION NO. 2986
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MERCER ISLAND FOR
MARINE PATROL SERVICES.
WHEREAS the City of Renton has a need for marine patrol
services; and
WHEREAS, it is uneconomical ' and inefficient for each City
bordering on Lake Washington to provide such marine services; and
WHEREAS, . the City of Mercer Island has established a marine
patrol unit; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has contracted with the City of
Mercer Island for marine patrol units in the past and wishes to
continue to do so in the future:;.
NOW, THEREFORE,= THE..' CITY-- COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,.
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE. AS. FOLLOWS:
SECTION. I:.- The above. recitals are found to be true and
correct in all-_respects
SECTIOX I.I. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Mercer
Island for marine patrol services . ;
