RESOLUTION NO. 2987
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY FOR THE
PURPOSES OF PARTICIPATING IN THE HOME INVESTMENT
PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, King County, as an urban county pursuant to federal
law, desires to undertake HOME Program Housing Assistance; and
WHEREAS, the county wishes to contract with a number of
participating cities to create a consortium for the purposes of the
HOME Program; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the consortium will receive
funds for the federal fiscal years of 1994, 1995 and 1996; and
WHEREAS, the consortium will establish a HOME Program strategy
and HOME Program policies which will be utilized in making funding
decisions; and
WHEREAS, certain funds under the housing objectives and
program policies will be given to the City of Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington, are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal
cooperative agreement with King County for the purposes of
establishing a consortium for the HOME Investment Partnerships
Program.
