CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2988
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTONo
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY TO
OBTAIN KING COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
(CDBG) FUNDS DURING THE 1994-1996 FUNDING YEARS.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton, Washington, has projects eligible
for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton wishes to participate as a partner
in the King County CDBG Consortium for 1994-1996 and be eligible to
receive King County CDBG funds; and
WHEREAS, prior to the distribution of these monies by King
County to the City of Renton it is necessary for the City of Renton
to execute an interlocal cooperative agreement with King County;
and
.WHEREAS, an .interlocal cooperative agreement would be in the
best interests of the City of Renton.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,

Washington, are hereby authorized to enter into an interlocal

cooperative agreement with King County to provide funds to the City
of Renton from the King County CDBG.
