RESOLUTION NO. 2990
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR FUNDING FOR
PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING WORK FOR HIGH OCCUPANCY VEHICLE
LANES FROM SR 169 TO THE NEW HOUSER WAY INTERCHANGE.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is interested in constructing new
high occupancy vehicle lanes from SR 169 to the new Houser Way
interchange; and
WHEREAS, Federal funds are available to assist the City in
preparing those plans and. specifications; and
WHEREAS, a total of $130,560 . 00 out of an estimated cost of
$163,2.00-.._00 will be paid by Federal funds; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions
of the state ' s participation in the preliminary engineering work;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an interlocal cooperative agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation for the state ' s
participation in the funding of preliminary engineering work for
high occupancy vehicle lanes from SR 169 to the new Houser Way
interchange
