RESOLUTION NO. 2992
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE LOCAL
AGENCY PARTICIPATING AGREEMENT NO. GC 9783 WITH THE
WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION WHICH
COMBINES THREE CHANGE ORDERS TO THE SR-405 S-CURVES
PROJECT AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has previously entered into an
interlocal cooperative agreement with the Washington State
Department of Transportation (hereafter WSDOT) for the SR-405 S-
Curves Project; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has identified a means by which to
further protect the drinking water aquifer and the environment to
better serve the '.citizens of the City of Renton; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has identified three areas of
change which WSDOT has combined into Local Agency Participating

Agreement No. GC 9783; and
WHEREAS, the costs for these changes are within the City' s
budget for this project; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the citizens of the City of
Renton to enter into this agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute Local Agency Participating Agreement No. GC 9783 with
WSDOT which includes an additional aquifer protection pond liner as
described in Change Order No. 23, a design modification of a 16"

water main relocation at SR-169 crossing as described in Change
Order No. 27, and the replacement of an existing ditch with storm
sewer near N.E. 3rd Street crossing as described in Change Order
No. 33 .
