RESOLUTION NO. 3000
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR FUNDING FOR
RELOCATION OF HOUSER WAY.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton and the Washington State
Department of Transportation have previously entered into an
interlocal cooperative agreement for preliminary design work on the
relocation of Houser Way; and
WHEREAS, that process has now gone into a second phase of
preliminary engineering; and
WHEREAS, additional funding is necessary for the second phase
of the design; and
WHEREAS, the federal government, through the Washington State
Department of Transportation, will commit $552, 000 . 00 of additional
funding to the total of $690, 000 . 00 of funding needed for
additional preliminary engineering;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the
Washington State Department of Transportation through Supplemental
Agreement No. 1 for additional funding for the relocation of Houser
Way.
