RESOLUTION NO. 3003
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH BRYN MAWR-LAKERIDGE
WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT CONCERNING WATER SUPPLY AND
JOINT STORAGE AND TRANSMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton and Bryn Mawr-Lakeridge Water and
Sewer District entered into a contract dated May 4, 1983, which was
subsequently amended on December 30, 1985; and
WHEREAS, there are ambiguities in that contract, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, the parties have met and determined an equitable
method of resolving those ambiguities; and
WHEREAS, the contract, as proposed, is beneficial to both
parties; and
WHEREAS, the Bryn Mawr-Lakeridge Water and Sewer District has
filed a claim with the City of Renton for the sum of $14, 632 . 31,
which claim has been partially resolved previously and will be
completely resolved upon signing of the proposed contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign the contract for water supply and joint storage and
transmission with Bryn Mawr-Lakeridge Water and Sewer District.
