RESOLUTION NO. 3018
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY
REGARDING GRANT- FUNDING UNDER THE STATE OF WASHINGTON
GROWTH MANAGEMENT ACT.
WHEREAS, the state legislature passed the Growth Management
Act of 1990 and 1991; and
WHEREAS, the Act requires that jurisdictions prepare
Comprehensive Plans in cooperation with neighboring units of
government; and
WHEREAS, the state of Washington has made grant funds
available to local jurisdictions to assist in preparation of those
plans.; . and
-'WHEREAS, the grant funds are available only through a
designated fiscal agent for the distribution of the grant funds,
which in this case is King County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton wishes to avail itself of these
grant funds; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the terms and conditions
under which the grant funds are distributed by King County and
received by the City of Renton;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .

SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with King County
concerning the distribution of grant funds under the state of
Washington Growth Management Act of 1990 .
