CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. 2880
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, STATING
ITS DECISION THAT THE SITE PLAN REVIEW ORDINANCE CAN BE
USED TO SATISFY A REQUIREMENT OF AN APPLICATION FOR PUD
FOR THE NORTHWARD REZONE ORDINANCE, ALSO KNOWN AS THE
ORCHARDS.
WHEREAS, the City Council, in Ordinance No. 3795, rezoned
certain property then known as G.M. Associates (Northward
Development) with the requirement that the applicant apply for PUD
approval as a condition of the rezone to ensure that an approved
site plan would be binding; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the rezone ordinance
the city Site Plan Review Ordinance had not been adopted; and
WHEREAS, the use of the Site Plan Review Ordinance would
satisfy the intent of the city' s requirement that a PUD approval be
obtained; and
WHEREAS, the site plan review would be a more efficient
process than a PUD review.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The use of a site plan review will be deemed to
satisfy the condition of Ordinance No. 3795 that a PUD approval be
obtained.
