HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2883 CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2883 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT UPDATING THE GREEN RIVER MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT. WHEREAS, the Cities of Auburn, Kent, Renton and Tukwila and King County share jurisdiction over portions of the seventy square miles of the lower Green River Basin; and WHEREAS, solutions to drainage, flood and water control problems cannot be fully made by one of the parties acting alone; and WHEREAS, the City of Renton has been a participant in the Green River Basin Program since 1978; and WHEREAS, the City of Renton was a signatory to the Green River Management Agreement of July 1985; and WHEREAS, it is advantageous to all parties to update that agreement as the 1985 agreement had a duration of six years, which time has now passed. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects. SECTION II.
