RESOLUTION NO. 2885
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN A PETITION
FOR INCLUSION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
RENTON TO THE KING COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton is in the process of adopting a
resource conservation zone; and
WHEREAS, there is a King County Conservation District which
provides training and instruction on best management practices to
improve water quality and productivity of land; and
WHEREAS, such technical assistance would be valuable to the
City of Renton and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton may join the King County
Conservation District only by petition to the Washington State
Conservation Commission; and
WHEREAS, such petition must be authorized by a resolution of
the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign a petition for inclusion of additional territory within the
King County Conservation District to include the entire
incorporated City of Renton.
