RESOLUTION NO.2891
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY TO
DEVELOP A WATERSHED ACTION PLAN FOR THE CEDAR RIVER
BASIN.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton and King County are jurisdictions
along Cedar River; and
WHEREAS, King County has received a grant from the Centennial
Clean Water Fund of the Washington State Department of Ecology to
prepare an action plan to improve water quality in the Cedar River
Watershed;. and
_ WHEREAS, the City of Renton .is actively.-engaged _-in protecting ..,
its sole sou.r-ce_aquifer: in.. the,."Cedar., River-,Watershed.;.: .and
WHEREAS, the City of- Renton. can gain.. :impor..tant,. information

about the preservation of its. aquifer by participating in the
development of the action plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an agreement known as the Agreement Between King
County and Renton for the Development of a Watershed Action Plan
for the Cedar River Basin.
