RESOLUTION NO. 2896
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
RENTON AND METRO TO REIMBURSE THE CITY FOR COSTS FOR
STAFF REVIEW AND COORDINATION INVOLVING THE REGIONAL
TREATMENT PLANT IN RENTON - PHASE III ENLARGEMENT.
WHEREAS, the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle is in the
process of implementing the Regional Treatment Plant in Renton -
Phase III Enlargement; and
WHEREAS, the City and METRO have previously entered into an
agreement for METRO to reimburse the City for review services
during the construction permit review process; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to extend that agreement for
.additional services; and
WHEREAS, the project is complex and requires extraordinary and
expeditious review services by City staff which creates the need
for METRO to reimburse the City for such review services .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement between the City
of Renton and the Municipality of Metropolitan Seattle for
implementation of the Regional Treatment Plant in Renton - Phase
III Enlargement for coordination of the stormwater, building and
construction permit reviews during implementation of the
enlargement program.
