HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2901 s ,es CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2901 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, SEGREGATING ASSESSMENTS FOR PARCELS #1C AND #1D OF LID #332 (OAKESDALE AVENUE) . WHEREAS, the City of Renton has entered into a Purchase and Sales Agreement which requires the city to segregate certain assessments for Local Improvement District #332 as it relates to Parcels #1C and #1D; and WHEREAS, the original assessment roll for LID #332 was approved on August 19 , 1988; and T WHEREAS, Parcel #1 was segregated into eight parcels by 0 Resolution No. 2809 on August 13, 1990; and WHEREAS, Parcels #1C and #1D of LID #332 are legally described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the amounts of the original segregated assessments for Parcels #1C and #1D of LID #332 were: Parcel #1C: .$421, 389 . 68 Parcel #1D: $211, 699 . 57; and WHEREAS, Parcels #1C and #1D of LID #332 have been segregated into two adjusted parcels by lot line adjustment; and WHEREAS, the owner of Parcel #1, First City Washington and the City of Renton pursuant to a Purchase and Sales Agreement have agreed to segregate the assessments based upon the respective square footages of their proposed ownerships; and 1 i RESOLUTION NO. 2901 WHEREAS, the two adjusted parcels of the original Parcels #1C and #1D are legally described in Exhibit "B" incorporated herein and made a part hereof as if fully set forth; and WHEREAS, this segregation will not jeopardize the security of the lien for such assessments or reduce the security for any outstanding Local Improvement District obligations payable from such assessment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION' I . The Finance Director of the City of Renton is ordered to segregate the original assessments of Parcels #1C and #1D Q of LID #332 between the two parcels as legally described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto with the tracts bearing the following assessments : l� New Parcel #1C: $397, 937 . 18 New Parcel #1D: $177, 968 .70 . SECTION II. The total of these segregated assessments equals the total unpaid assessment before segregation and, if that should not be, then each assessment will be increased proportionately until the sum of the two will total the unpaid assessment before segregation. The council has been informed that there may be a discrepancy between the original parcel sizes and the segregated parcel sizes . Therefore, the Administration is authorized to adjust these figures to reflect actual parcel sizes as long as these figures do not vary by more than ten percent ( 10% ) .
