RESOLUTION NO. 2914
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT AND INSTALL SANITARY SEWERS
AND TRUNK LINES AND APPURTENANCES THERETO IN AND NEAR THE
SIERRA HEIGHTS AREA, RENTON, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AS
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN,• AND TO CREATE A LOCAL
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT TO ASSESS THE COST AND EXPENSE OF
SAID IMPROVEMENT AGAINST THE PROPERTIES IN SUCH DISTRICT
SPECIALLY BENEFITED THEREBY; NOTIFYING ALL PERSONS WHO
MAY DESIRE TO OBJECT TO SAID IMPROVEMENT TO APPEAR AND
PRESENT THEIR OBJECTIONS AT A MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
TO BE HELD ON AUGUST 17, 1992
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I. That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Renton, Washington, to construct and install the
following sanitary sewer lines, including trunk lines, accessories
and appurtenances thereto, in the fallowing described area of the
City, to-wit:
1 . (a) Description of Local Improvement District No. 335
(See attached Exhibit "A" )
(b) Improvements :
( See attached Exhibit "B" )
There shall be included in the foregoing the acquisition and
installation of all necessary fittings, couplings, connections,
equipment and appurtenances, and the acquisition of any easements,
rights-of-way and land that may be required; and there
shall
further be included the performance of such work as may be
incidental and necessary to the foregoing construction and
installation.
The City Council may, in its discretion, modify and amend the
details of the foregoing described improvement, including the
financing thereof, where in its judgment it appears advisable,

provided such modifications and amendments do not substantially
alter the general plan of said improvement project. All of the
foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications
prepared by the City of Renton Wastewater Utility.
SECTION II . The cost and expense of said improvement unless
hereafter timely modified or amended by the City Council, shall be
equitably borne by and assessed against the property specially
benefited by such improvement to be included in the local
improvement district to be established, embracing as near as may be
all property specially benefited by such improvement or the
adjacent special assessment district to be established embracing as
near as may be all property that has potential future benefits from
such improvements . There shall be included in the cost and expense
of said improvements all cost items specified in RCW 35 .44 . 020 .
SECTION III. That all persons who may desire to object to
the improvement herein described are hereby notified to appear and
present such objects at a meeting of the City Council to be held in
the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Renton, Washington at 7 : 30
p.m. on August 17 , 1992 , which time and place are hereby fixed for
hearing all matters relating to said proposed improvement and all
objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for
said improvement. The City Clerk shall give notice of said hearing
and said proposed improvement as required by law.
SECTION IV. Lynn Guttmann, Administrator of the Department
of Planning/Building/Public Works, or her duly authorized
representative, is hereby directed to submit to the City Council,

on or before the aforesaid hearing date, all data and information
required by law to be submitted.

SIERRA HEIGHTS LOCAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT#335
The lands included within the Sierra Heights Local Improvement District boundary are
contained within Section 4, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M. The boundary
for the district is described as follows:
Beginning at the NW corner of Lot 4, Sierra Heights, Div. No. 2 as recorded in Volume
59 of Plats, page 55 records of King County, Washington, within the NE 1/4 of said
Section 4. Said NW corner also being a point of intersection of the east right-of-way
line of Queen Ave. NE with the south right-of-way line of NE 22nd Place;
Thence east along the southerly right-of-way line of NE 22nd Place to the NE corner of
Lot 6, said Plat;
Thence south along the east line of Lot 6, said Plat, to the NW corner of Lot 1, Block 3
of Sierra Heights subdivision as recorded in Volume 54 of Plats, page 3 records of King
County, Washington;
Thence east along the north line of said Lot 1 to the NE corner thereof;
Thence south along the east line of said Lot 1 to the SE corner thereof;
Thence east along the south line of said Plat to the SE corner of Lot 12, said Block 3.
Said SE corner also being the NE corner of Lot 1, King County SP 1177008, Recording
No. 7805021039, and a point on the west right-of-way line of Union Ave. NE;
Thence south along the west right-of-way line of Union Ave. NE and the east line of
said Lot 1 and its southerly extension across NE 22nd St. to the NE corner of Lot 22,
Sierra Heights, Div. No. 2;
Thence continuing south along the west right-of-way line of Union Ave. NE to a point
127 feet south of the north line of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 4. Said
point also being the SE corner of Lot "A" of King County Lot Line Adjustment No.
1082055;
Thence west along the south line of said Lot A to the SW 1/4 corner thereof. Said SW
corner also being the SE corner of Lot "3" of King County Short Plat No. 184052,
Recording No. 8501020301;
Thence west along the south line of said Short Plat to the SW corner of Lot "1", said
Short Plat. Said SW corner also being a point on the east line of the NW 1/4 of the NE
1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 4;
Thence south along the east line of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said
Section 4 to a point of intersection with the easterly extension of the south line of Lot
4, Rose Haven subdivision as recorded in volume 63 of Plats, page 10 records of King
County;
Thence west along said extension to the SE corner of said Lot 4. Said SE corner also
being a point on the east line of the W 1/2 of the E 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of
the SE 1/4 of said Section 4;
Thence south along the east line of the W 1/2 of the E 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of the NE
1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 4 to a point on the north right-of-way line of NE 19th
Street;
Thence west along the north right-of-way line of NE 19th Street to a point of
intersection with the west line of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 4;
Thence north along said west line of the NE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of said Section 4 to the
NW corner thereof;
Thence east along the north line of said SE 1/4, a distance of 30 feet, to a point of
