RESOLUTION NO. 2915
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE WASHINGTON
STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELATING TO FEDERAL
PARTICIPATION IN ENGINEERING FOR HOUSER WAY NORTH STREET
RELOCATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton desires to complete a project
known as Houser Way North Street Relocation; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to perform certain preliminary
engineering work for that project including preparing plans and
specifications for the construction of a new roadway; and

WHEREAS, Federal funds are available to assist the City in
preparing those plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, a total of $480, 000 . 00 out of an estimated cost of
$600, 000 . 00 will be paid by Federal funds; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the agreement between the
City and the Washington State Department of Transportation for use
of such Federal funds .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an agreement with the Washington State Department of
Transportation for the use of Federal funds in the Houser Way North
Street Relocation Project for preparation of plans and
specifications for the construction of a new roadway.
