RESOLUTION NO. 2916
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN ADDENDUM
TO KING COUNTY INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BY INCLUDING A $1.5
MILLION ALLOCATION FOR THE BLACK RIVER RIPARIAN FOREST
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, King County has established a Conservation Futures
Fund to pay the acquisition costs of certain open space within King
County; and
WHEREAS, certain monies under the Conservation Futures Fund
are subject to periodic reallocation; and
WHEREAS, the Black River Riparian Forest Project is eligible
for an additional $1 .5 million allocation for acquisition costs;
and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the existing interlocal
agreement between the City of Renton and King County to include
that additional $1 .5 million allocation.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an addendum to the existing City of Renton-King
County Interlocal Agreement to include the allocation of an
additional $1 .5 million for the Black River Riparian Forest
Project.
