RESOLUTION NO. 2917
A : RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER. INTO A
PROJECT AGREEMENT WITH THE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT
BOARD RELATING TO STATE PARTICIPATION IN ENGINEERING FOR
PARK AVENUE N--BRONSON WAY TO N LOTH STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has desires to complete a project known as Park Avenue N--
Bronson Way to N 10th Street; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to perform certain preliminary engineering work for that project
including preparing plans and specifications and acquiring right-of-way for the widening and
rehabilitation of the roadway; and
WHEREAS, State funds are available to assist the City in preparing those pians and
specifications and aquiring the right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, a total of $544,000 out of an estimated cost of $680,000 will be paid by State
_funds; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to document the agreement between the City and the Washington
State Transportation Improvement Board for use of such State funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and correct in all respects.
SECTION U. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement
with the Transportation Improvement Board for the use of State funds in the Park Avenue North
Improvement Project for preparation of plans and specifications and acquisition of right-of-way.
