RESOLUTION NO. 2918
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH KING COUNTY AND
METRO ENTITLED "COMMUTE TRIP REDUCTION ACT INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT" FOR SHARING OF STATE GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the state of Washington is making certain funds
available to local governments to implement a Commute Trip
Reduction Program; and
WHEREAS, King County is the local entity to which the state is
distributing these funds; and
WHEREAS, King County is distributing those funds to the
various cities; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enter into an interlocal agreement
in order for the City of Renton to receive its share of those
funds .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to sign an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with King County and
Metro entitled "Commute Trip Reduction Act Interlocal Agreement" to
provide for a mechanism whereby the City of Renton can receive
state funds to help pay for a Commute Trip Reduction Program in the
City of Renton.
