RESOLUTION NO. 2926
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT MODIFYING THE PUGET SOUND REGIONAL
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the Puget Sound Regional Council has been established
as a regional transportation and metropolitan planning district for
the Puget Sound area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has been a participant in the
Puget Sound Regional Council; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to satisfy state law to add certain
parties to the Puget Sound Regional Council; and
WHEREAS, it is equitable to establish a new dues methodology
based upon assessed value and population rather than upon the
amount in each jurisdiction ' s general funds; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Interlocal Agreement
establishing the Puget Sound Regional Council into finding its
purpose, mission, membership, powers and funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington, are hereby authorized to enter into an Interlocal
Cooperative Agreement for Regional Planning of t'-..e Central Puget
RESOLUTION NO. 2926
Sound Area, reestablishing the Puget Sound Regional Council as
described above.
