RESOLUTION NO. 2930
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF MERCER
ISLAND FOR THE EXCHANGE OF CITY OF RENTON GENERAL FUNDS
FOR CITY OF MERCER ISLAND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the 1991 - 1993 King County Interlocal Agreement
(CAG-90-060 ) for the planning and administration of certain
Community Development Block Grant funds allows for pass-through
cities to exchange Community Development Block Grant funds for
general revenue funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mercer Island has available to it certain
Community Development Block Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has projects eligible for
Community Development Block Grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Mercer Island is willing to exchange
Community Development Block Grant funds in the amount of $42, 728 . 00
for City of Renton general funds in the amount of $28,200 . 00; and
WHEREAS, this fund exchange would appear to be in the best
interests of the citizens of the City of Renton.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Renton,
Washington, are hereby authorized to enter into an Interlocal
RESOLUTION NO. 2931
Cooperative Agreement with the City of Mercer Island to exchange
Community Development Block Grant funds for City of Renton general
funds .
