RESOLUTION NO. 2935
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON WASHINGTON,

AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF S.W. 16TH STREET
FOR UTILITY AND NEW ROADWAY INSTALLATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has previously determined that
certain underground utility lines and new roadway need to be
installed and that it would be most advantageous to install those
lines and new roadway as part of the Boeing Customer Service
Training Center work; and
WHEREAS, the installation of the underground utility lines
and new roadway will necessitate the temporary closure of S.W.
16th Street between its intersection with Oakesdale Avenue S .W.
and its intersection with Longacres Drive S.W. ; and
WHEREAS, the work has been scheduled between November 27 ,
1992 and December, 1993 to minimize interference with traffic; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to City Code Section 9-9-3, the City
Council is to authorize such closures by resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II. The City Council does hereby authorize the
closure of S.W. 16th Street between its intersection with
Oakesdale Avenue S.W. and its intersection with Longacres Drive
S.W. for a period of approximately one year.
