RESOLUTION NO. 2828
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AT RENTON MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that there are
dangerous accumulations of silt and debris on the aircraft movement
areas, aircraft parking areas , and roadways of the Renton Municipal
Airport; and
WHEREAS, immediate action is necessary to remove the silt and
debris material from the aircraft movement areas in order to return
the Renton Municipal Airport to normal operations; and
WHEREAS it would be detrimental to the City' s best interest
to delay work until the public bidding process could be fulfilled.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I . The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects .
SECTION II . An emergency is hereby declared and the
expenditure of up to $50, 000 . 00 is authorized to remove material
that is a threat take steps s to remedythe situation and return
the Renton Municipal Airport to normal operations .
