RESOLUTION NO. 2856
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO APPLY FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE AND
IDENTIFICATION OF MATCHING FUNDS FOR AN AQUATIC LAND
ENHANCEMENT ACCOUNT PROJECT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES (THE BOEING TRAIL) .
WHEREAS, under the provisions of RCW 79 . 24 . 580, state funding
assistance has been authorized and made available to aid in
financing the cost of the construction of facilities for public
access to, and aquatic land enhancement of, state owned aquatic
lands; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton considers it in
the best public interest to enhance shoreline access over and along
the south eastern shoreline of Lake Washington.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor is authorized to make formal
application to the Department of Natural Resources.
SECTION III. Any fund assistance so received be used in the
construction of a handrail along the existing waterwalk.
SECTION IV. The city's share from the project will be
received from in-kind services consisting of design, project
management and administration for an amount of $10, 000. 00 and a cash
contribution of $15, 000. 00.

SECTION V. This resolution will become part of a formal
application to the Department of Natural Resources.
SECTION VI. Adequate notification has been given and
opportunity provided for public input.
