RESOLUTION NO. 2858
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF RENTON AND THE
BOOS CREEK WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT ESTABLISHING SERVICE
BOUNDARIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton and the Soos Creek Water and Sewer
District are qualified and able to provide water and sewer service
within their service areas; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for the City of Renton
and Soos Creek Water and Sewer District to provide for the efficient
planning and development of new water and sewer services in areas
which may be served by either or both of the parties; and
WHEREAS, Soos Creek Water and Sewer District has constructed,
managed, operated and maintained certain water and/or sewer
facilities which exist in areas which have been annexed to the city
and which could be most efficiently managed, operated and maintained
by the City of Renton.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are found to be true and
correct in all respects.
SECTION II. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
to enter into an Interlocal Cooperative Agreement with the Soos
Creek Water and Sewer District transferring certain facilities to
the City of Renton and establishing service boundaries between the
City of Renton and Soos Creek Water and Sewer District.
