HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 2755 L CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2755 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, SEGREGATING ASSESSMENTS FOR PARCEL #24 OF LID #285 AND PARCEL #2 OF LID #312 (S.W. 43RD STREET AND WEST VALLEY HIGHWAY) . WHEREAS, the City of Renton has been requested to segregate certain assessments for Local Improvement District #285 as it relates to Parcel #24, and Local Improvement District #312 as it relates to Parcel #2 ; and WHEREAS, the original assessment roll for LID #285 was approved on January 6, 1975; and WHEREAS, the original assessment roll for LID #312 was approved on November 3, 1980; and WHEREAS, Parcel #24 of LID #285 is legally described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein; and WHEREAS, Parcel #2 of LID #312 is legally described on Exhibit "C" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the amount of the original assessment for Parcel #24 of LID #285 was $21,782. 35, which assessment has now been paid down to the sum of $6,534.67; and WHEREAS, the amount of the original assessment for Parcel #2 of LID #312 was $26,101.36, which assessment has now been paid down to the sum of $5,220.26; and WHEREAS, Parcel #24 of LID #285 has been segregated into two parcels, Parcels #24A and #24B; and 1 i RESOLUTION NO. 2755 WHEREAS, Parcel #2 of LID #312 has been segregated into two parcels, Parcels #2A and #2B; and WHEREAS, Parcels #24A and #24B of LID #285 are legally described on Exhibit "B" ; and WHEREAS, Parcels #2A and #2B of LID #312 are legally described on Exhibit "D" ; and WHEREAS, this segregation will not jeopardize the security of the lien for such assessment or reduce the security for any outstanding Local Improvement District obligations payable from such assessment. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. The Finance Director of the City of Renton is ordered to segregate the original assessment of Parcel #24 of LID #285 between Parcels #24A and #24B as legally described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto with the tracts bearing the following assessments: Parcel #24A: $3,284.99 Parcel #24B: $3,249. 68 and segregate the original assessment on Parcel #2 of LID #312 between Parcels #2A and #2B as legally described on Exhibit "D" attached hereto with the tracts bearing the following assessments: Parcel #2A: $5,220.26 Parcel #2B: $-0-. SECTION II. The total of these segregated assessments equal the total unpaid assessment before segregation and, if that should not be, then each assessment will be increased proportionately until the sum of the two will total the unpaid assessment before segregation. 2 1 y RESOLUTION NO. 2755 SECTION III. As part of the segregation, the Finance Director of the City of Renton will collect a fee of $10.00 for each tract for which segregation was made, for a total of $20. 00. SECTION IV. The City of Renton chooses to charge its reasonable engineering and clerical costs for this segregation in the amount of $86.00. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 13th day of March , 1989. Maxine E.
