RESOLUTION NO. . 2756
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City of Renton has determined that there is a
dangerous slide on Lake Washington Boulevard at N.E. 51st Street;
and
WHEREAS, immediate action is necessary to prevent further
sliding and remedy the situation; and
WHEREAS, it would be detrimental to the City's best interest to
delay work until the public bidding process could be fulfilled,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The above recitals are hereby found to be true and
correct.
SECTION II. An emergency is hereby declared and the
expenditure of up to $30, 000 . 00 is authorized to remove material
that is a threat and take steps to remedy the slide problem.
